教授简介

 

陈端端,北京理工大学生命学院生物医学工程系教授、博导,从事生物力学及医学工程相关研究。本科毕业于复旦大学力学与工程科学系,博士年毕业于英国牛津大学工程科学系,曾任牛津大学生物医学工程研究所博士后,承担欧盟第七框架项目。2011年加入北京理工大学,主要研究方向为针对主动脉疾病介入诊疗系统的研究,目前承担多项国家自然科学基金项目,并担任科技部重点研发计划课题负责人。

 

内容简介

 

Type-B complicated aortic dissection is a severe vascular diseasewith high morbidity and mortality. It is commonly treated by thoracicendovascular aortic repair (TEVAR), which implants a stent-graft into the aortato seal the primary tear and to support the collapsed true lumen. For thisparticular disease, there are a few problems have not been fully solved duringthe diagnosis, medical planning, treatment operation and post-TEVAR riskevaluation. Medical engineering techniques, such as image processing, surgerynavigation and computer simulations, can improve our understandings about thisdisease and can improve the treatment process. In this presentation, I wouldlike to share our recent studies regarding this disease as well as theendovascular repair treatment. This multi-disciplinary study may contribute toeffective treatment of type-B aortic dissection and similar analytical methodscould be applied to other cardiovascular diseases and other interventionaltreatments.
